Bonnie currently serves as the associate vice president for financial planning and analysis and the university treasurer. In this position, Bonnie oversees institutional financial operations including treasury operations, investments, debt management, budget development, finance systems, accounts receivable, tax and compliance. Before stepping into her current role, Bonnie served as the chief financial officer for the Division of Student Affairs. Bonnie has been at Iowa State for 37 years, she has held positions in Environmental Health and Safety, Information Technology, and at Ames Laboratory. Bonnie is a member of the ISU Alumni Association Board of Directors and serves on many other campus and local committees. Bonnie is a member of the Association for Financial Professionals, the Treasury Institute of Higher Education, and the National Association of College and University Business Officers. Bonnie received both her B.B.A degree in Finance and her M.P.A degree in Public Administration from Iowa State. Bonnie met her husband, Sean, while working at Iowa State. Sean, who retired in 2023, holds two degrees from the university. Together, Bonnie and Sean have two daughters, Emma and Claire, both Iowa State graduates.
